The viewing period allows you to manage the volume of historical data stored and the relevancy of results returned, the user can choose to limit the periods for which they view the results for.
The options for filtering the results are:
No period filtering and see all results.
Filter by the number of Months the user wishes to see.
Or filter the results using a selected Date range.
How to apply Viewing Period filtering
The viewing period can be defined in the Data Analysis section. The filter can be found in the section Summary Analysis in the analysis categories Accounting Rules, Trends, Exceptional Values, Unusual Combinations. It can also be accessed from the Profit & Loss Issues and/or Balance Sheet Issues screens.
Click the report that you wish to display.
Click on Edit
beside Viewing Period. Here you
are able to set the materiality level.
Use the drop-down box to select the preferred viewing period. Select either number of Months or Date Range.
Set the period for the specific analysis that is being reviewed, or apply it across all analysis views by checking the box Apply to all views.
When you are finished, click on the Apply button to save; or use the Cancel button to discard it.
The viewing period filtering has now been applied.
