The Activity Card

Mamut Online provides you with an online overview of activities concerning your company and employees. Create, edit and view activities online and keep track of these via the online calendar or activity list. Below you will find detailed information about the different fields in the activity card.

Simple and Full Mode

The activity card can be displayed in the Simple or Full mode.

Click Switch View to change from Simple mode to Full mode. Within the user administration you are able to select which viewing mode you wish to use as your default. Read more about the user settings in User Settings for Activities and Calendar in Mamut Online.

Simple mode: The simple activity card opens as a pop-up window and contains only the most important information.

Full mode: The full activity card contains the same information as you would find in your locally installed version of Mamut Business Software. If you click New (or Edit an existing activity), you will be able to edit all information in the window's upper half.

The Toolbar

From the toolbar you can create new activities, save changes, delete items and much more.

Save & New: Click here to save the activity you are currently working on and open a new one.

Save & Close: Click here when you have finished working with the activity and wish to close the activity card.

Save: Click here in order to save the activity and continue working with the same activity.

Go to Contact: If you have linked the activity to a contact, click here to open the contact in the contact work area.

View: Use the button to view the activity in read-only mode.

User Settings: The user settings allow you to specify how you want to work with activities, e.g. how the windows for activity management look or which default values you want present when creating a new activity. Read more in User Settings for Activities and Calendar in Mamut Online.

Cancel & Close: Click here if you wish to cancel the creation of a new activity and close the activity card.

You can read more about the toolbar options within Mamut Online in Important Tools within Mamut Online.

Description of Registration Fields

Subject: A short description of the nature of the activity.

Start time: Set a date and time for when the activity is to commence. The time does not have to be accurate for activities in the Task list.

End time: Enter the estimated end time of the activity.

Alarm: Select whether the activity is to be fitted with an alarm and how long before the start time the alarm is to go off.

Type: Activity types are an important categorisation for extracting statistics. Furthermore, they help you to filter the activity list. You can view the activity in the graphic calendar, either in the actual calendar or the task list. The setting for this is made via the Misc. tab.

Status: Choose from pre-defined statuses to follow-up on the progress of activities.

Responsible: Everyone listed within the employee register can be assigned as the person responsible for an activity.

Link: Clicking this button allows you to link Contacts, Employees and Resources that are involved in the activity. Select the relevant register and/or enter the search criteria in the top-most toolbar in the Link window and click Search. Use the arrow buttons to add or remove the contacts/employees/resources. If you link a contact to the activity, the activity will be shown on the contact card of the contact. Read more in The Contact Card.

Project: If the activity is to be linked to one of your projects you can select this here.

Priority: Select between High, Medium and Low priority, or (none) if you prefer not to prioritise your activities.

Show time as: Select how the activity should be displayed in the calendar: Busy, Free or Out.

Private: You can use the Private activity function to limit other users' access to the activity. If you check this box, only users with sufficient access rights will be able to view the activity's detailed information. Please note that an activity defined as private will be displayed in the calendar, so that other users can see that you are busy. The Super User will always be able to view the activity's detailed information.
