Under the Contact Management focus area on the desktop you will find gathered all the functions that are related to customer management.
The shortcuts being shown give an overview over the flow of information for this focus area. These shortcuts cannot be changed. Buttons and information boxes, however, can be chosen by yourself in the User Settings for the desktop. The shortcuts, buttons and information boxes that are being explained below pre-defined ones. Should they not show on your desktop this may be because your licence does not cover these functions, because your user setup is denying you access to them or because you made certain user settings that exclude some information boxes and buttons from being displayed.
Activity list
The activity list gives you an overview over all the activities that have been created in the program. You can create new activities or edit existing ones from here. When you register a new activity you will be able to enter contact information and to link the activity to a project if this is of interest. You also have the possibility to defer an activity or to set its status to Completed in the activity register.
With the help of the Group activity button at the bottom of the focus area screen you can create activities that are connected to more than one contact.
With the help of the Activity template button at the bottom of the focus area screen you can significantly simplify the creation of new activities. You can define the activities which can be created quickly and easily for every single module.
Document list
The Document list gives you an overview over all or selected documents that you or another program user have created. There are various functions to help you sort the list so that it will be easier for you to find what you are looking for. There is a also a filter function, which might be useful when you are searching amongst a large number of documents.
Project list
In the Project register you can register the your projects and keep full control over contacts, orders, invoices, quotations, purchases, activities, documents, hours, products, employees and possible sub-products that are linked to the current project. It may be helpful to use the project register in order to keep track of costs and revenues related to a project and to see whether a project is in fact profitable.
Contact and Contact Person
The Contact Management module is where you maintain all information about your contacts. Note that customer management consists of both customers and suppliers, possibly partners and private contacts as well. A contact may be both a customer and a supplier. If so, tick both these boxes in the Contact card.
The desktop can be customised so that every focus area contains the information and shortcuts that best match your program usage. Refer to the below links for information on how to adjust the desktop to your needs.
