About the system requirements

The system requirements refer to the recommended minimum and the recommended requirements for a client/workstation and single-user installation. For installation on a server we only operate with the recommended requirements. The recommendations refer to what we define as good enough to achieve an effective work day with our solutions. In some cases you may experience that the system also functions even though the minimum requirements are not fulfilled.

More Information about Microsoft SQL Server

*Microsoft® SQL Server® Express is installed together with the program in server and single-user installations. Microsoft® SQL Server® Native Client is installed on the work station if another version of Microsoft SQL Server® has already been installed.

Microsoft® SQL Server ®Express has size restrictions on the database:

It is not recommended to install Microsoft SQL Server on a domain controller. Furthermore, Microsoft SQL Server is not supported on a read-only domain controller. Read more on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2032911.

**Home editions of the Windows operating systems are not recommend for our business applications.

The server recommendations assume exclusive use of Mamut Business Software. If the server is used for other purposes, the requirements should be altered accordingly.

Factors affecting server performance are number of simultaneous users, number of transactions in the database, and which edition of Microsoft SQL Server you are running.

More information about Microsoft Office

Microsoft Office is required on the server machine only if Mamut Business Software intended to be used directly on the server.

The required disk space for single-user installations depends on the size of the database and the size of the document directory. The document directory is used to store document files, image files, report files and other information that is not a part of the database.

For web based help, Internet Explorer 8.1 or later is recommended.

Mamut Support Centre cannot offer user support for problems pertaining to operating systems or third-party products within the network.
