Compello Integration

Note! This integration requires a license for the additional product as well as a Compello license.

The product, Mamut Enterprise Compello, integrates Mamut and Compello Software solutions. It turns paper documents into electronic documents so they are able to be read on a screen. Then you can change settings in Compello to control the flow of the documents. The documents are always accessible. They are stored in Compello’s electronic archive, and can be instantly opened.

Compello Software is a company delivering software for the electronic treatment of requisitions, invoices and other documents for both the private and the public sector.

Compello is a standard product with different modules for scanning, translating, registration, work flow and archiving. Compello comprises functionality for the import, archiving and management of electronic invoices (EDI, XML).

The system integrated with Mamut. You require a Compello license and a license for the additional product in Mamut to be able to make use of the integration.

Please note that all interaction between Compello and Mamut is started via a function in Mamut.

The way the integration works is that you first export your database from Mamut with the help of the Export to Compello function. Compello then receives, e.g. your suppliers and chart of accounts. Now, you are ready to use the Compello system for the actual scanning process and for the posting of purchase invoices and credit notes. When the journals are processed finished in Compello, you can import them to Mamut via the Import journals from Compello function. The import is directed to Financials and a day-book is printed for the imported journals during the process.

When the day-book has been printed, Mamut will update Compello with the information about the journal number the journals received and that the journals have been imported to Mamut, so that they cannot be exported from Compello again at a later time.

Mamut now contains the scanned document as an attachment to the journal.

If Mamut has a scanned document attached to a journal, you can open the document directly from the program. The toolbars in Financials, the Contact card and the Customer & Supplier Ledgers will show a button, Show scanned journal (Shift+Ctrl+C). Clicking this button opens the document. The button is only visible to users with Compello integration and will only be active if the journal has a document attached.

The function is mainly aimed at scanning and transferring purchase invoices and credit notes to Mamut. The journal type is selected in Compello. It will also be possible to register different journal types, although sales invoices and sales credit notes are excluded, of course.

Please note that all journals will be marked as Purchase invoice. That means that you will find them under this category in Financials. The journal type does not influence the actual posting of the journal.
