Getting started with Mamut PayPal Integration

With PayPal your customers can shop securely at your webshop, using one of the most popular Payment Service Providers. Paypal is recognized worldwide and has competitive pricing especially for moderate volumes. Read more about PayPal here, (external link).

In your Mamut Business Software webshop you can offer PayPal alongside with other Payment service providers. Your customers can decide which Payment Service to use at the checkout.

Webshop customers who do not already have a PayPal account, can create one directly at your webshop page.

Mamut PayPal Integration is an additional product for more advanced functionality which you will have to purchase separately.

Setting up a merchant account at PayPal

Before you can use PayPal in your webshop, you need to have a PayPal business account and API credentials, consisting of the three elements API username, API password and API signature. If you do not have a business account, you can create it on PayPal's website and then request API credentials. Note them down - you will need them to set up PayPal in Mamut Business Software.

Setting up PayPal in Mamut Business Software

With your PayPal License, your PayPal API username, API password and API signature now prepared, you can now continue with setting up PayPal in Mamut Business Software.

How to define the PayPal settings in Mamut Business Software

  1. Open Help - About - Manage License Information.
  2. Click PayPal on the left side and then click Add. Choose which company you want to add to this license. Click OK.
  3. Open View - E-Commerce - Website Settings - Payment Services.
  4. Click PayPal. Enter the API username, API password and API signature in to the corresponding fields. Click OK.
  5. Open View - Settings - Company - Properties register. Scroll down to the entry Payment terms and click Edit.
  6. For national sales: Double-click the payment term PayPal .
    For international sales: Double-click the payment term PayPal - International.
  7. Select the check box Available on the web.
  8. Upload your webshop via View - E-Commerce - Update Website: Select Full Update and confirm with Update.

You have now successfully defined PayPal as a payment service provider. Your webshop customers can now pay for your products via PayPal.

Download webshop orders

You download PayPal webshop orders in the usual way. Read more in Get Web Site Data.

Webshop orders via PayPal have the entry PayPal in the Payment terms field. The precondition for this is that you have defined a payment term called PayPal via the Properties Register in Mamut Business Software. This is described under step 3 above.
