Website update

View - E-Commerce - Update

After editing your website (read Menu), or changing user permissions in the case of password protection (read Password Settings), you must Update or publish the website to the server. None of the changes will be available on the Internet until you have gone through this procedure.

A standard update will only upload your changes on the website. Since you have limited storage space, you should periodically perform a Full update (see point 3). This will delete all information on the server and upload only the information you wish to display on the website.

How to update your website

Start updating from View - E-Commerce and Update Website. The system will automatically check if design template updates are available. If updates are available on the server, you will be notified. You can then download these as described below, and then begin the update of your website again.
Select the website you wish to update.
If you have made major changes, you should also select Full update to clear the content on the server.
Click Update.
The program will now generate the updated website, pack the information and upload it to your area on the server.
Click Go to website or click the link to the website in the e-mail you receive when updating is complete.
Check that the content is presented the way you want it to.
If you are not satisfied, open Edit Website or Website Settings and correct any errors before you update again.

Your website has now been updated.

Tip! If you are unable to see any changes after updating your website you can hold down the [CTRL] key and press [F5] a few times to update the content on the screen.

Updated design templates

At regular intervals we offer updated design templates. The program automatically searches for design updates, each time you choose to edit, preview or update your website via View - E-commerce - Edit/Preview/Update Website, and you will be notified when new updates are available.

How to retrieve updated design templates

Click OK in the dialog box notifying you that updates are available. You will now be taken to the update wizard, where you will be able to see more detailed information about the update.
Click Next to start the download.

Note! You will not be able to edit, preview or update your website until you have retrieved the updates. You are able to interrupt the wizard by clicking Cancel, but this will also interrupt the process you originally started.
Once the update has completed, you will get a dialog box confirming this. Click OK.

The new design templates will now be available from the Design templates tab under Edit Website.
