This screen displays the database name, the server name and your usernames. This is the same information you received via e-mail when you activated your service.

Add description allows you to add a description of your database. If you have several databases you can easily add a description about the content and the site it is connected to. Once you have added the description, you are able to modify it through Edit description.

Here you are also able to view the three available users, one administrator, one writer and one reader.

The user defined as the Administrator is able to administrate the database.

The privileges include select, insert, update, delete, create, drop, index as well as alter temporary tables and lock tables, and create view, show view, create and alter routine, event and trigger.
The user defined as the Writer is used by applications needing to alter information in the already existing tables, or where temporary tables need to be created.

The privileges include select, insert, update, delete, create temporary files, lock tables, show view and execute.
The user defined as the Reader is used by applications only needing to read information in the already existing tables.

The privileges include select, lock, lock tables, show view and execute.

If the database exceeds the quota, the administrator and writer users will be set to restricted mode with the following privileges:

Administrator: Select, drop, lock tables, show view and execute.

Writer: Select, delete, lock tables, show view and execute.

If you wish to create a new password for your users, you are able to do so through the Create Password screen.

We recommend that you download MySQL Workbench; you are able to do so by clicking on the Download link. MySQL Workbench provides databases with an integrated tool for database design and modelling, SQL development and database administration.

Another alternative is to use the php MyAdmin.
