How to set up a new account
Select View - Accounting - Chart of Accounts.
Click New.
Assign the account a number according to the position it is to take in the Layout of accounts. The account will be automatically placed into the Layout of accounts based on the number you enter here. Read more about the Layout of accounts below.
Enter a Name. A short name explains what the account is to be used for. You can change the explanations for existing accounts as well, if required.
Use the Description filed to enter a more detailed explanation than provided by the account name.
Click Save.
You have now created a new account.
