Step by Step Guide to Setting up WorldPay

Step 1 - Install the latest Mamut Version

Find out whether you have a Standard, Pro or Enterprise program and make sure to use the latest version of the software. Read more about how to download and install Mamut at www.mamut.com/uk/update.

Step 2 - Complete the application form

In order to use WorldPay you need to fill in an application form online. This is your application for using WorldPay’s solution for secure credit/debit card transactions. You can find more information about this here (external link).

Step 3 - Send the required information to WorldPay

When you have completed the WorldPay application form, you will be asked to provide a number of documents WorldPay requires to set up your Merchant Account.

For more detailed information on these documents, please refer to WorldPay's homepage at http://www.worldpay.com (external link).

Step 4 - Register your Merchant account and installation ID

As soon as WorldPay approves your application, they will open your Merchant Account and send you an installation ID. This installation ID has to be registered in your Mamut program.

Registering your WorldPay installation ID in Mamut

  1. Start Mamut.

  2. Go to View - E-Commerce - Website Settings - Payment Services.

  3. Select WorldPay from the drop-down menu.

  4. Enter the InstallationID you received in the relevant field.

  5. Tick the Test purpose only (WorldPay) box and select a test mode type:

Test mode (100) - always  successful (WorldPay parameter). If this option is selected, the test transaction will be completed and 'approved' no matter what.

Test mode (101) - always cancel (WorldPay parameter). By selecting this, the test transaction will not be completed and 'approved' no matter what.

  6. Publish your website.

The debit/credit card payment through WorldPay is now ready for testing by placing an order in your webshop.

Step 5 - Test the transaction solution

It is important to check that transactions function properly. To do this, you can run a test order in test mode, which allows you to see how the solution works before you receive real orders.

Your test transaction should be handled according to the test mode settings you have made in the Payment Services tab in Website Settings (see above).

Testing credit/debit card transactions in your webshop

  1. Select the product(s) in the webshop by clicking the Add to shopping cart button.

  2. When done, click on Check out.

  3. Select a debit or credit card as Method of Payment.

  4. Click Next.

  5. Complete the Customer Information.

  6. Click Next.

  7. Check that the order details are correct and then click Confirm Order.

You are now taken to WorldPay’s Secure Payment page to complete the financial transaction.

Note! You should carry out several tests for credit/debit card orders in your webshop to check that everything is working as it should.

Step 6 - Complete the Activation Report

Once you have tested the transaction solution successfully several times, you need to complete the Activation Report. This will allow you to activate your real account at WorldPay, thus enabling you to complete live transactions. WorldPay will send you a link to the Activation Report.

After this, start Mamut and clear the test mode status under View - E-Commerce - Website Settings - Payment Services. Then click OK and re-publish your website.

Step 7 - Website approval

Before can start to receive credit/debit card orders, WorldPay needs to approve your website. The approval process commences as soon as you have completed and returned the Activation Report. Once the approval is in place, credit/debit card transactions through WorldPay will be available in your webshop.

Important! When you have received the password/user and documentation from WorldPay you need to make the necessary settings in CMS. Refer to WorldPay’s web pages and documentation for more detailed information.
