News in Mamut Business Software version 18: System Improvements
Version 18.0
Mamut API
Mamut API is an add-on product to Mamut Business Software, that makes it possible to export and import information without using normal user interface. We have now added the possibility of opening activities automatically from outside of Mamut Business Software.
Microsoft® SQL Server® 2012 Express
From version 18 of Mamut Business Software the default Microsoft SQL Server will be version 2012 Express, which is compatible with operating systems Windows 7 and above. When installing Mamut Business Software on operating systems XP/Vista or Windows Server 2003, the default SQL Server will be 2008 R2 Express. Note the following when updating:
- If you have SQL Server 2008 R2 Express installed you will have the option of installing to version 2012 Express. If you do not want to update your SQL Server, simply deselect Yes, update the SQL Server instance option in the installation wizard.
- Mamut Business Software version 18 does not support Microsoft SQL Server 2005. Therefore it is required to upgrade your SQL Server to at least version 2008 R2 Express.
- If you have a manually installed SQL Server, or/and have an instance named something other than Mamut, you need to update your SQL server manually before updating Mamut Business Software to version 18.
