The backup wizard lets you backup your data in a few simple steps. Which steps will be displayed in the wizard depends on your licence and the alternatives you select in the wizard itself.
Select a System to Backup
(This step is only available if you have a licence for Client Manager and/or are running several licenced Mamut installation on the same computer)
If the wizard detects several system databases on your computer or within your network, you will be able to select if you want to backup all or one of the system databases.

Select Backup Type
This step lets you choose which type of backup you wish to create. Default is recommended and pre-defined. You can override the pre-defined setting if the default backup does not meet your requirements. If your licence includes accounting functionality, you will in addition be able to create a backup copy which can be sent to your accountant.

Enter Description and File Name
Enter a description of the backup copy in this step. You can also define a file name and file path to the backup copy. You can also choose to password-protect your backup copy. In such cases, please keep in mind that the backup copy cannot be restored if you lose or forget the password.
