Installation: User Defined Path to Database Files

The database files contain all data that you enter into the different modules within Mamut Business Software. The file path to the database files can now be customised; but the database files must be installed on a local disk on the server. You are able to define a new path file under the Advanced settings in the installation wizard.

Note that this alternative is only available if you have a single-user or server installation.

More information about installation can be found here.

Reduce Functionality in Mamut Business Software for ASP-hosting

Mamut now offers you an additional product that removes functionality that is generally handled by ASP suppliers.

Other Important Changes/ Improvements

Stocktaking Input Sheet

Two new stocktaking reports are now available in the Warehouse module. The stocktaking input sheet allows you to print a report that lists all the stock items available within your warehouse without including the estimated stock, but a field for noting the counted number of physical items. The two reports complement the stocktaking reports that are already available.

You can also access these reports from the Report module.

More information about stocktaking here.

Rounding to the Suppliers units for Purchasing

In the Product Register, under the Supplier tab, you are able to link a product to a supplier in order to perform purchases. If the supplier delivers products in special units/numbers/packaging and does not accept other quantities, you are able to register the quantity in this field in order to prevent that purchases are placed which differ from what the supplier provides. This setting overrides the Purchased field on new purchases when the purchase order is transferred to the status Purchased. The setting is deactivated by default. Example: The supplier delivers in cases of 24 and you have entered 30 as the purchase quantity. When you transfer to the status Purchased, the number will be rounded to 48.

Read more about linking a supplier to a product here.

Accumulated number with generating a purchase

When you generate a purchase with the help of the purchasing wizard, you can generate the purchase over time with accumulated quantities - until the purchase is transferred to the status Purchased. The purchasing wizard and the function for generating purchases based on sales orders, allow you to add the products to an existing purchase order - if one already exists - or to create a new purchase order.

Read more about the purchasing wizard here.

Optimisation of Memory Usage for large Purchases that affect Cost Price

If your company sells product bundles, products consisting of several components, you can now enjoy the optimised function to update cost price. This makes it easier for you to update the cost price of the product bundles when you wish to update the cost price of the components.

Search Engine Optimisation

Mamut has now improved the title tag for search engines; the structure of the automatically created title tags has been enhanced to provide you with a better visibility in the search engines. Furthermore, if you have a Mamut Active24 domain, the internal links of your website will automatically be harmonised with your domain.

You and your employees are able to register the hours that are important for your company to keep track of; create, view and edit your time sheets online, wherever and whenever you wish. Furthermore you are able to manage the time sheets you already have registered in Mamut Business Software in addition to creating new time sheets and time sheet lines.

The company settings for Time Sheet Input in Mamut Online Desktop are not the same as the company settings in your local Mamut Business Software. Define the settings for your company from the Settings menu in Mamut Online Desktop. The user settings are also independent of the user settings you have defined in your local Mamut Business Software. Synchronisation Options for Version Updates

During first time startup, after updating to a new version of Mamut Business Software, you will be able to select when your company database(s) should be synchronised. You can choose between manual synchronisation, via the company settings, when you have completed the update; a complete synchronisation via the update guide, or you can enter a time when the synchronisation will be launched.

Please note that this step is only relevant for users who with an earlier version of Mamut Business Software, have already synchronised one or more company databases with Mamut Online Desktop.
