Invoicing

Normal invoicing is initiated from the statuses Unprocessed order, Unissued Credit note or Backorders. It is important to note that the invoice is registered as Invoiced, or executed, before the invoice itself is printed. You can, however, perform a Test printout, so that you can check the invoice before executing it.

In the report window, Select the type of printouts you require and click OK.

If you answer Yes when asked whether the order is to be invoiced, the Nominal Ledger and Customer and Supplier Ledger will be updated with the relevant changes. The original invoice is now printed and you will be asked whether you approve the printout. Note that the order is transferred to the Invoiced status, irrespective of whether or not you have approved the printout.

Tip! It is possible to edit invoices after they have been posted. This functionality allows you to edit posted invoices without needing to credit the item or redo work already done. Read more in Edit Posted Invoices and Journals.

If your license includes warehouse functionality - and you are keeping items in stock - the products must be delivered before you can print an invoice (default setting). You can override this setting in the company settings for Sales and Invoicing.

Tip! You can use the filter settings to invoice several sales orders and credit notes at the same time. You can also create individual reports for the invoicing. The individual reports supplement the system reports which can be accessed by clicking File - Print.
