Through the User Administration screen you are able to manage the users of Windows Web Server. You are able to create an unlimited amount of users with different access levels.
Note that when it comes to the FTP Server and the WebDAV Server, the settings applied in the Server configuration screen override the individual settings applied to each user.
How to create a new user for Windows Web Server
Click Products in the top menu.
Select the domain through the radio buttons, in case you have more than one.
Click Windows Web Server to open the administration screen. Click User administration.
Enter a username in the corresponding field. The username is in the format of an e-mail address and includes your domain name, for instance, example@yourdomain.com.
Enter the password in the corresponding fields. Your password must contain at least 6 characters and must include one upper case letter, one lower case letter, and one numeric digit.
Define whether the user should have IIS Manager Access. It requires that the user installs and uses the IIS Remote Administration tool. The user can have access to the entire site or to a specific application. Use the check boxes in the site tree to define what access should be granted.
Define whether the user should have read, write, source or no access to WebDAV by selecting On/Off in the corresponding buttons.
Define whether the user should have read, write or none access to FTP by selecting On/Off in the corresponding buttons.
Click on the FTP path field in order to grant the user access to an specific folder. Select the folder in the window that opens.
Click Add.
The Windows Web Server user has now been created.
The username will have the format of an e-mail address and it will be
prefixed with 'web_' and end with '@yourdomain.com'.
Tip! You are
able to Edit or Remove
a user by selecting a user in the drop-down list and then clicking on
the corresponding links.
