Registering new equipment

In order to be able to loan or return equipment, you need to create the equipment within the Equipment in Mamut Online first. You can register as many pieces of equipment as you wish.

When registering a new piece of equipment, the only required field is the name. If you usually create many pieces of equipment with similar values, you can simplify the registration process by selecting which fields and panels to display as well the default values that will apply for all new pieces. Read more in User Settings for Equipment.

Note! If you need to register equipment that is composed of several elements, for example a set of 10 uniforms, bear in mind that you cannot loan one uniform at a time, but must loan the entire set. Alternatively, you can register each uniform individually. In this case, the function Save & Duplicate can save you a lot of time. But, be aware that all the information included in the existing piece of equipment will be copied to the new one except for the picture, if one has been included.

How to register new equipment

  1. In the top menu, select New - Equipment or click Work Areas - Equipment - New Equipment.

  2. Enter the relevant information within the Main information panel such as Name, Category, Location, etc.
  3. Enter any additional information within the following panels.
  4. Click on Save & Close to be redirected to the previously accessed page,
    -or-
click on Save & New if you wish to register another piece of equipment,
    -or-
click on Save & Duplicate to duplicate the piece of equipment you are creating.

The new piece of equipment has now been registered.
