Installation of Mamut ServiceSuite


You can download Mamut ServiceSuite from the Mamut website at www.mamut.com/uk/download.

Alternatively, you can install Mamut ServiceSuite from a CD. If the installation does not start automatically; double-click on My Computer which can be found on the Windows desktop. Find CD/DVD player (for example, D:) and double-click on it to see the contents of the CD. Double-click Setup.exe to begin the process.

System requirements

Recommended system requirements: 1,6Ghz processor, 1 Gb RAM (with Windows Vista, 7 and 2008 Server: 2GHz/1,5 Gb), Windows 7, Vista, XP 2 with SP2 or newer, 1.025X768 screen resolution. Complete and updated system requirements and recommendations can be found here: www.mamut.co.uk/system

How to install Mamut ServiceSuite

The installation requires that you install some key components. The installation will check to ensure that these components are in place and take you through the wizard that is described below. If the components are already in place, you can proceed to step 5.

  1. Once the wizard appears, click Next in the welcome window.

  2. Click Accept to install the required components.

  3. Select the type of installation you wish to install and click OK.

  4. Please wait while the wizard installs the required components. The computer will automatically be reset once the installation is complete.

  5. Once the wizard for the installation of Mamut ServiceSuite appears, click Next in the welcome window.

  6. The User Agreement must be accepted before the installation can be completed. If you wish to continue, you must tick the box I Agree and then click Next.

  7. In the next step, specify where Mamut ServiceSuite program files should be located. Mamut automatically suggest a location.

    If you would like to install to the suggested location, simply click Next.
    Alternatively, you can specify another location by entering the path directly or by clicking
    Browse to locate the folder.

  8. Click Next to start the installation.

  9. Mamut ServiceSuite will now be installed and the new program files will be copied to the area you selected. Please be patient as this process may take some time and it is important that you do not cancel or interrupt the installation.

  10. To continue, you must choose whether you wish to install a Stand-alone Installation for use on your PC only, or a Server Installation that links multiple PCs to Mamut ServiceSuite, this requires that you have purchased the necessary licence. If you install the Server Installation, you must select Client Installation on the next PC that you install on. Then you must verify the database suggested during the Client Installation.

  11. After choosing the installation, click OK.

  12. Please wait while the Microsoft SQL server is installed.

  13. Click Close to complete the installation.

  14. You can now start the program by double-clicking the Mamut ServiceSuite icon on the desktop.

    When you start the program for the first time, you'll see a free version of Mamut ServiceSuite.

Mamut ServiceSuite was installed successfully onto your computer. You are now ready to use the program.
