What is the Statement Summary View
The Statement Summary View provides a business focused summary of the results of all of the major analyses carried out on your accounting data by Mamut Validis.
It provides a condensed form of your Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements, organised as defined by the Chart of Accounts uploaded with the data from your accounting software.
For each area of the accounts, the number of potential anomalies identified by Mamut Validis as a result of applying the accounting rules, trend deviations, exceptional values and unusual combinations analyses, and their value, is displayed against the category of the financial statements they affect directly.
The display also allows you to focus in on any area of particular interest and view full details of the Mamut Validis results.
How to use the Statement Summary View
To obtain the Statement Summary view, follow the steps described below.
Select the menu option Data
Analysis - Statement Summary.
The Statement Summary screen is displayed; initially showing information
about your Profit and Loss issues.
Period: In order
to manage the volume of historical data stored and the relevancy of results
returned, you can select to limit the periods for which they view results
for. Read more about the viewing period here.
Materiality: When Mamut Validis carries
out an analysis of your accounting data, it examines each transaction
and stores the result of every test performed. Depending upon the quality
of the data it is asked to examine, the analysis may identify a large
number of potential anomalies. However, it is likely that most of these
anomalies will involve small amounts, which may not be of particular interest
to you. Read more about Managing Materiality
Level.
If appropriate, use the buttons at the top-right of
the screen to change the statement summary being displayed, as follows:
Displays details of your Balance Sheet.
Displays details of your Profit & Loss.
