The program has been designed to work on updated Windows
The system requirements are the recommended minimum requirements for running the program. The recommended requirements should be fulfilled in order to run the application effectively. The program may function even if the requirements have not been fulfilled. You can expect a better performance from updated hardware.
Installation of Program Files
The first thing you need to do in order to start using Mamut Business Software is to install the program files. The program files can be installed from a CD or by downloading them from our website, www.mamut.com/ie/download where you can also find the installation guide. Before you proceed with the installation, you should decide which type of installation to install:
Single-user
This option is used when you have a licence that allows for installation on one computer. The program files must be installed on the computer that you plan to run the program on. However, additional persons are able to share the machine and register as users of the program.

Multi-user Server Installation
If you have purchased a multi-user licence, you can choose which computer will be used as the server and install the program on the server computer first. It is important to ensure that all users have the appropriate user access to the data folder on this computer. The computer you choose can be a computer only used as the server, or it can be one of the user's computers. Before installing in a multi-user environment, you should read more about multi-user installations here.

Multi-user Client Installation
If you have a multi-user licence, install it on the server first. You can then install the program files on the computers that the program will be used from. When installing on the server, you can choose to copy the installation files for client installation and save them to a shared location on your server. If you choose this option, other users will not require a CD to install the program.

Installation of Database Files
The database files contain all data that you enter in the different
modules in the program. When installing the program, the predefined file
paths to the database files are:
Windows XP
Windows Vista
Note! The database files must be installed on a local disk on the server. The files cannot be installed on a mapped drive or an external device.
Evaluating the Program
You can evaluate the program or any of the add-on products not included in your licence. The majority of functions are available in the evaluation version of the program. You do not need a licence to evaluate the program. If you have a licence, you can evaluate the majority of functions not included in your original licence. If you want to evaluate the program, we recommend that you install the program on a separate computer.
Evaluating the product and testing its functions
Updating to a new version
The software provider will notify you when a new version of the program has been released. You can update to a new version by installing from the CD, via the program's interface or by downloading the update from our website. It is important that you read the update documentation before you start. You will also need to create a backup first.

Licence
You will receive a licence number as proof of having paid the licence fee. The licence number acts as a key that 'unlocks' the program when you register the number in the Mamut Business Software.
The licence number is registered either by filling in the registration form during the first time startup of the program or by going to Help - About - Register Licence number when in the program.
