Settings for the Journal Templates Toolbar

The User settings for Journal Templates allow you to override the journal types that are given shortcut keys. You can also create your own buttons that allow you to make journal entries by using user-defined journal templates.

Change journal type for the journal template

Click on the search button to the right of the selection Journal Template Toolbar in the user settings for Journal Entries.
Then click the search button next to the template for which you wish to change the journal type.
Select Journal type from the drop-down list.
Click OK.

Journals created using the journal template will now be entered with the journal type.

Select user-defined journal template

Select among your own user-defined journal templates in the drop-down list.
Click the search button next to the drop-down list if you want to edit the settings for the journal template.
Click OK.

The toolbar will now be updated with your user-defined journal templates.
