Updating a Selection of Products

The Updating a Selection of Products function, acts as a wizard for simplifying the job of changing values in the product register. With this tool you can perform the job faster without having to go through the entire product register manually.

The wizard will help you to specify which fields are going to be changed and which products the changes will apply to.

To activate the wizard, go to View - Product - Updating a Selection of Products.

Step 1 - Select the products the changes will apply to

In the first step of the wizard you can decide which products will be changed. The filter window can be used in the same way as filter windows in other parts of the system. Please note that this window only contains certain fields.

  1. Specify the selection for the products you wish to change.
  2. Click Next to continue to the next step where you can choose which changes will be applied to the products in the selection.

Step 2 - Select which product fields are to be changed

In the second step of the wizard you decide which fields in the product card will be changed and which values this will affect.

  1. Select the fields you want to change and choose which values to apply in the drop down list.
    The window is divided into tabs which correspond to the tabs in the product register. The tab Product card contains the fields in the upper half of the product register. You can change all fields via this wizard.
  2. Click Next when the selection has been defined. A list containing all affected products will be displayed. Click Previous in order to go back and redefine the selection.
  3. Click Finish if you are happy with the selection and wish to apply the changes.
    Note! You cannot undo this action.

The products will be updated according to the selection made. This will be confirmed in the Product changes now complete screen.
