The service SQL Browser must be running for the instance

If the service SQL Browser is not running, some components of Microsoft SQL Server will not work. In this case, Mamut Business Software will not work in a multi-user environment. If you are installing Mamut Business Software for a single-user, i.e. the program and database will be installed and used on one computer only, this message will be a warning only. You do not need to do anything in this case, but we nevertheless recommend that you perform the steps if you might change to a multi-user installation at a later stage.®

How to start the service SQL Browser

  1. Cancel the installation of Mamut Business Software by clicking Next and then Finish in the wizard.
  2. Go to Start - All programs - Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 - Configuration Tools - SQL Server Configuration Manager.
  3. Click on SQL Server Services at the left side of the window.
  4. Right click SQL Server Browser and select Start or Restart.
  5. Close SQL Server Configuration Manager.

You can now start the installation of Mamut Business Software again.
