Editing an existing contact

You can edit your contacts anywhere, at any time with Mamut Online. Information registered via a browser and locally within your Mamut system, is continuously synchronised. Your company will therefore always have access to up-to-date information.

Note that the ability to edit a contact is dependent on your role. If you have a restricted access role you might only be able to access view mode, not edit mode. Read more about roles here.

How to edit an existing contact

  1. Go to CRM - Contact Management - Contact list.
  2. Find your contact by searching and then click on Go to contact under the Action column.

This screen shows the full contact card of the contact, either in Edit or View mode depending on your role. At the top left you can change the name of the contact, change the definition of the contact, and change the contact status. The top right shows the action icons:

Save

Saves the data you have registered without navigating away from the current screen

Cancel

By canceling you remove the latest entries.

Duplicate

This will duplicate the contact's contact information to a new contact card. The contact will have the same name but with the text - copy after.

Print

This will print the contact information to a PDF.

Delete

You can only delete a contact that have not been used anywhere in the system. If the contact is in use you get the option to deactivate the contact instead.

In the contact card you have the following sections available for editing:

Main Information

Here you find all the main information such as addresses, contact information, and the contact's financial information.

Other Information

In the other information section you enter the contact's preferred language, what type of business they own, as well as connect the contact to a department or project. You can also register your notes here, and add the contact to different groups, or user-defined fields.

Contact Persons

Here you find a list of all the contact persons for this contact. You can create a new contact person, edit an existing contact person, or search and filter for specific contact persons. It is also possible to select a standard contact person to recognise the contact's main contact person.

All registered activities for this contact can be viewed and edited here. You can create new activities and search and filter for existing activities.

Here you can find and create all types of quotations linked to this contact.

Working with Quotations and Sales Orders

Sales orders

Here you can find all types of sales orders linked to this customer. This includes unprocessed sales order, credit notes, invoices and more. Via the Add new button you get redirected to the sales screen, where you can create a new unprocessed sales order.

Maps

In the Maps section you can view the contact's address on a map, as well as enter a travel route.
